- Appointment booking: At the end of this call, you’ll book an appointment with one of our specialists at your convenience. Our staff will also give you details about what to expect at your appointment and answer any questions you may have about our approach, billing, and insurance.
How the Appointment Works
Every patient is different, so we spend some time at the start of the appointment performing a full-body assessment. Dr. Geldwert will thoroughly examine the foot, as well as the ankle, leg, knee, hips, and lower back, to fully understand what is contributing to your pain.
We look for causes such as:
- Traumatic injury
- Overuse or poor form (especially relevant for athletes)
- Underlying medical conditions or diseases
- Genetic risk
Once we’ve found the root cause, we’ll work with you on a solution that’s aligned with your lifestyle. In some cases, we can treat the condition the same day. For more severe cases, like those requiring bunion surgery, we’ll discuss a more extensive treatment plan.
