Bio: The patient is a 66-year-old woman who has had bunions for much of her adult life. She previously had a Lapidus bunion surgery on her right foot and did not want to endure another long and painful recovery period.
Procedure: Dr. Geldwert used the HyperFlex®️correction device to correct the bunion at the source without cutting or fusing the bone.
Result: Patient reported minimal pain after surgery and an overall easier recovery than her previous Lapidus procedure. After just 2 weeks of recovery, the patient reported no pain and was walking a few thousand steps per day in sneakers.
