Bio: The patient is a 71-year-old woman who is a long-term bunion sufferer. Non-surgical interventions brought minimal relief, so she sought out Dr. Geldwert for a minimally invasive surgical approach.
Procedure: Dr. Geldwert used a combined approach of HyperFlex®️ and minimally-invasive bone shaving to correct the bunion deformity by addressing the soft tissue and structural issues at the source.
Result: Patient reported minimal pain after surgery. She was weight-bearing in a CAM boot for 2 weeks post-op and transitioned into sneakers at 3 weeks. She was using a stationary bike at 2 weeks and walking 3,000-5,000 steps per day by 3 weeks post-op.
